DJ Insomniac | Trance & Progressive
DJ Insomniac started spinning in the spring of 2007, with the far-fetched dream of sharing the music he loved with people all over the world.
That summer, he decided to throw a little house party with a close friend. A shocking turnout of over 500 people showed up, making the event an instant launching platform for Insomniac.
A few months passed, and Insomniac kept thinking of ways to spread and share the uplifting and moving sounds of trance with people across the world. In February of 2008, he started a podcast in the iTunes store, titled "The Sound of Insomnia." Another shock to his system, the podcast quickly reached into the top 30 most downloaded audio podcasts in the iTunes store.
Struggles in his personal life came, however, and the podcast had to be put on hold until November, when it came back with a vengeance. Since November of 2008, the podcast has grown rapidly and continues to hold onto thousands of subscribers. Currently, "The Sound of Insomnia" is downloaded by over 30,000 people each episode.
2009 was his biggest year to date, performing over 40 shows in 8 different states and establishing his podcast in a total of 26 countries. Not only that, but he proved his talent behind the decks by performing alongside artists such as Markus Schulz, ATB, Matt Cerf & Jaren, Marcel Woods and more.
His unique fusion of trance, progressive, and house has gained him growing respect and recognition throughout the electronic music world. Always the performer, his live energy and mixing abilities must be witnessed live to be fully believed.
With several successful parties of his own completed, along with countless gigs at clubs/events across the United States for over 32,000 people, DJ Insomniac is well on his way to establishing his name in the trance music scene. 30,000 podcast subscribers in 26 countries across the world are starting to make it look like his far-fetched dream wasn't so far-fetched after all.
